Ellis County Arts Association

The Ellis County Arts Association, or ECAA, is an 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation that operates ART at 113 W Franklin St, Waxahachie, TX 75165. It is supported by annual membership dues, grants, corporate contributions, and the proceeds of fundraisers and art-related business projects. The museum offers free admission to the public, but donations are welcomed.

The gallery exhibits fine art created by local artisans, including local children and adults. The gallery also offers classes in acrylic, water colors, pastels, and oils. Regardless of your level of artistic ability, you can take one of the many painting and drawing classes offered by the ECAA. Several talented artists showcase their works in the ECAA’s gallery. The ECAA’s ART On The Square Waxahachi exhibition is free to attend and is open to the public. The exhibition features the work of local artists. The gallery also offers painting classes in oils, acrylics, water colors, and pastels. There are no admission fees, and admission is free. In addition, the ECAA has a number of other classes that will inspire and improve your artistic skills.

The ECAA does not have an art exhibit every year, but every year they hold one. The members of the ECAA judge the works, and a senior is selected as the recipient of the scholarship. Autumn Wells, a student from Waxahachie High School, is the recipient of the 2018 Senior scholarship, which is a $1,000 prize.
