Duncanville

Duncanville is a city in southwest Dallas County, Texas. It has a population of 38,524 as of the 2010 census. The city is part of the Best Southwest area, which includes DeSoto, Lancaster, Cedar Hill, and Plano. It is a mid-sized suburb that is primarily a bedroom community. The community is known for its spring houses, including the “stone igloo.” A replica of the “stone igloo” was built in a city park near the site. Former NFL quarterback “Mean” Joe Greene lived in Duncanville while playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers. In addition, Steven Romo grew up in Duncanville and went to a Duncanville Independent School District school. In fact, there is a lot to love about Duncanville, and there’s a reason it has so many local attractions.

The city is part of the Dallas Metroplex. It has a population of 39,599, which is higher than the national average. It is a majority White neighborhood and is home to a large number of African Americans. The population is also significantly Hispanic, with nearly a quarter of the population being of Hispanic descent and speaking Spanish.
